So promos are over and Chinese & PW A's are coming up. Sucks how when you're done and moved on with one of life's challenges, it immediately throws you another challenge to deal with. Today during Cat class, I asked my sec 3s if they're currently facing any burdens in life, and most of them said no because the EOYs are over and they have nothing to worry about. I, on the other hand, am worrying about the results of promos and whether or not I'll even be able to promote to j2 as well as PW and Chinese. When did promotion to the next standard in school get so hard, when did exams become so easy to fail and when did my targets for the exam grades change from A to an E? And omg don't even get me started on PW because PW sucks big time. Whoever came up with the idea of PW being a compulsory A-Level subject should be cursed.
Since jc started, I haven't shopped much, I haven't chilled much and I haven't read much. I don't even think I've finished reading a single book since jc started which is crazy compared to how many books I used to read each year. Lit books don't count, I don't even like reading them. I miss books, I miss reading, I miss going to bookstores and staying there for hours, exploring all the bookshelves and getting thrilled & awed by all the books. Ack, I even miss going to music stores and looking through all the albums and soundtracks and dvds. But maybe I just don't do that much anymore because the Heeren HMV is gone and the 313/CityLink HMV suck.
Right now, I just wanna escape from my life in Singapore, fly to Melbourne or San Francisco or London or Paris to chill, sit in open fields and read books and listen to my favourite music, shop, eat good food, discover new indie music, explore the city and its old buildings and immerse myself in another culture. Oh have I mentioned my dream to work in a music store in either London or Paris in the future? I'll be so fascinated by all the British and French indie/alternative music, I don't think I'd mind living a poor yet satisfactory life.
Right now I'm really digging French indie & folk music as well as the Blackberry Bold 9700 (I never thought I'd say this about a phone but it's damn sexy!).
